| Robert E. Greenberg |
Robert Greenberg is Of Counsel to the firm. He concentrates his practice in litigation, real estate, corporate and commercial law, and creditors' rights. Robert has particularly significant experience in matters involving real estate litigation, bankruptcy litigation, corporate and commercial litigation, title claims, foreclosures, lease disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, mechanics' liens, and contract disputes. He also has a significant commercial leasing and other contract documentation practice. He routinely provides advice on a wide variety of issues involving the real estate, staffing and banking industries, including employment issues, regulatory and code requirements, loss prevention issues, debtor-creditor issues and lien issues.
Robert has a distinguished trial and appellate court background. He has been involved in over 500 contested matters in courts across the U.S., including scores of trials, and a number of reported appellate decisions
Robert has published a number of professional articles on various legal subjects and is active in Bar and civic affairs.
Before entering private law practice in 1978, Robert was Assistant General Counsel for the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, and an Adjunct Professor in the Center for the Administration of Justice at American University. Prior to that, he was Legislative Assistant to Congressman Jonathan B. Bingham (D-NY), and an attorney/advisor in the Office of Proceedings, Interstate Commerce Commission.
Robert received his undergraduate degree (B.A., Philosophy, 1970) from Herbert H. Lehman (Hunter) College, his law degree (J.D., Dean's List, 1972) from the University of Florida where he was Chancellor of the Student Honor Court, and his graduate law degree (LL.M., 1975) from Georgetown University. Robert is a member of the District of Columbia, Maryland and Florida Bars.
